Trench Overlay privacy policy
Effective 28 October 2026, for version 0.9.2 from the Chrome Web Store (permissions and synced display choices described; Trade Buddy and Look up are not in this version)
Trench Overlay is TrenchScanner's Chrome extension. It shows your own TrenchScanner alerts in a side panel, with each alerted coin's flags and bubble map. This page explains what it handles and why.
What it can't see
The extension never runs on any website. It has no access to the pages you visit, including Axiom,
Terminal (Padre) and GMGN. It can't read their content, cookies, logins or wallets, and it doesn't
record your browsing history. Its Chrome permissions are storage, the side panel, notifications and
alarms: notifications to tell you of a new alert or a run if you turn that on, and alarms to check
your alerts once a minute for those notifications and the toolbar icon's unread count, only while
either is on. It has no access to any website, and the only server it talks to is
api.trenchscanner.app.
What it stores in Chrome
- Your extension key, which TrenchScanner Settings creates for this browser. It is used as an authentication token.
- A shortened form of your wallet address, shown in the panel's header.
- Your overlay settings and display choices: which alerts and flags to show, colours, limits, which sites to link to, and the coins you snoozed.
- Which alerts you were already notified of or have read, so they aren't counted twice.
These are kept in Chrome's extension storage on your device. Disconnecting in the panel or uninstalling the extension removes them there.
What it keeps with your TrenchScanner account
Your overlay settings and display choices, including the coins you snoozed, are also saved with your TrenchScanner account, so a reinstall or another browser gets them back. They stay there after you disconnect or uninstall; reset them in the panel while connected.
What it sends, and to whom
-
To TrenchScanner (
api.trenchscanner.app), with your key: requests to read your recent alerts, their token stats, safety screens and bubble maps, and your overlay settings, and to save those settings and display choices when you change them. TrenchScanner records when each key was last used, so you can see it in Settings. - Bubble maps: the panel's map makes the same reads TrenchScanner's site makes for a bubble map (its holders, links between wallets, chart), sent as you with your key, including the wallet addresses shown on the map.
-
Token images load from where the token's launcher or DexScreener hosts them, for example
cdn.dexscreener.comorimages.pump.fun. Those hosts see your IP address, as they would if you opened the image on TrenchScanner's site.
The extension sends nothing else to anyone. It reads no wallet's trades and sends no address you type. It has no analytics, no tracking and no ads. Your data is not sold or shared, and it is not used for anything except showing you your own alerts.
Your key
This version uses its key to read your alerts, their token stats, safety screens and bubble maps (with the site's map reads made as you), and your overlay settings, and to save the overlay settings and display choices. The key can't trade, move funds or change your account. You can revoke any key at any time in TrenchScanner Settings, under Browser extension. Signing out everywhere revokes them all.
Changes
If what the extension handles changes, this page is updated first and the date above changes with it.
